Poland to Trim Liquor Output to Curb Abuse

WARSAW —
Polish liquor production will be slashed under new measures to combat alcohol abuse.
PAP, the official news agency, said that the overall supply of alcohol from state-run distilleries supervised by the light industry ministry is to be 15% lower this year than in 1980, and steps are being taken to increase production of drinks with low alcohol content.
