So. Baptists Vote No Aid to Women Pastors

ATLANTA —
The Southern Baptist Home Mission Board has voted not to give financial support to any woman who is a pastor of a local church.
Under Baptist practice, a local church can ordain whomever it deems fit, and more than 200 women have been ordained, despite opposition to such ordinations by fundamentalists.
