Sockers Sign Perez to Two-Year Contract

The Sockers announced that midfielder Hugo Perez signed a two-year contract Friday. Terms were not disclosed. Perez was the team’s second leading scorer in the regular season last year with 41 goals and 25 assists in 41 games. In 14 playoff games, Perez had 10 goals and 3 assists.

The Sockers play an exhibition game against Wichita in McNichols Arena at Denver tonight and face Kansas City in the Salt Palace at Salt Lake City Monday night. San Diego is 1-1 in exhibition play.
