The Nation : Snow Blankets Colorado

Share

Colorado was blanketed by up to two feet of snow as frigid air moving east brought freezing temperatures to the Great Lakes and dumped snow and freezing rain over the Rockies and Plains. Temperatures dropped into the teens in Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota. Snow fell over Arizona, New Mexico and southern Colorado, where storms overnight dumped 24 inches at Nathrop and 20 inches at Fairplay. Flagstaff, Ariz., got four inches of snow. Freezing rain fell across the Texas Panhandle, with temperatures dropping into the 30s and low 40s, and was scattered over north-central Kansas and southern Nebraska.
