A jury Thursday found Ronald Gabriel guilty of 17 counts of rape, forcible oral copulation and forcible sodomy upon two women he was charged with keeping as sex slaves in his Encanto house.
The San Diego Superior Court jury will resume deliberations Monday on 15 other counts that they have not reached verdicts on. Judge Earl Maas ordered the partial verdicts read in court because the court is in recess today.
Gabriel, 34, was also convicted on three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of false imprisonment.
He still faces charges of kidnaping three women in 1984 and 1985 and holding them against their wills while subjecting them to forcible sex acts.
The jury acquitted Gabriel of having a concealed revolver.
