The Afghan war spilled into the corridors of the United Nations as Afghan diplomats assaulted two visiting rebels opposed to the Soviet-backed regime in an effort to keep them from holding a press conference. The scuffle came a day after the General Assembly approved, 122 to 20, a resolution calling for the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. Witnesses said three members of the Afghan U.N. delegation pushed, punched and shoved two representatives of the Islamic Union of Afghanistan Moujahedeen on the third floor of the U.N. headquarters building. No one was hurt.
