LETTER ABUSE

Share

It’s sure reassuring to know that there are people like Michael Hannon who will stand up and defend our inalienable right to get high (Calendar Letters, Nov. 2).

He was right to disagree with NBC’s censoring of comedian Sam Kinison; however, his reasoning was shockingly ignorant. Every moment of every day brings us another example of wasted life or lost property as a result of substance abuse. Justifying the use of drugs, even for the purpose of condemning censorship, is a valueless cause.

He is merely trading one of society’s ills for another.
