U.N. Panel Asks Probe of Israel Nuclear Role

UNITED NATIONS —
A U.N. committee Tuesday night adopted a resolution requesting the Security Council to investigate Israel’s nuclear activities.
The resolution, sponsored by 20 Arab states, was similar to resolutions adopted in previous years.
It was approved by the General Assembly’s main political committee by a vote of 92-2 with 42 abstentions. The United States and Israel voted against it.
