Filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles by the Montana Insurance Commissioner, the lawsuit also names National Mortgage Equities Corp., five individuals and several other companies connected with the failure of Glacier General Assurance Corp. Glacier was declared insolvent by Montana officials in 1985. The suit alleges fraud, deceit, racketeering and “self-dealing” on the part of the defendants.
