A staff attorney for the federal Securities and Exchange Commission pleaded no-contest to two felony charges stemming from her having taken and passed the State Bar exam last year for her husband. Laura Beth Lamb, 30, could face a maximum term of one year in county jail when she is sentenced Feb. 2. Her husband, Morgan Anthony Lamb, 33, faces a preliminary hearing on 16 criminal counts.
