Palo Verde Nuclear Plant Breaks Production Record

PHOENIX —
Unit 2 of the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station set a national one-month record for electricity production during October, officials said Thursday. The gross electrical output totaled 987,300 megawatt hours, breaking the previous mark of 904,550 megawatt hours produced in May, 1985, by Unit 1 of the Catawba plant in Clover, S.C.
