Construction has started on the $4-million, 45,000-square-foot EastLake Gateway building in Chula Vista’s $450-million, 350-acre EastLake Business Center.
Developed by EastLake Development Co., the building was designed by Conwell-Marshall & Associates to offer a combination of single-purpose or multitenant functions for office, research and development or light manufacturing and assembly operations. Completion is scheduled for next spring.
The general contractor of the structure at Lane Avenue and Telegraph Canyon Road is Koll Construction Co. ONA is the landscape architect and Iliff, Thorn & Co. is the leasing agent.
The EastLake Business Center is part of the 3,000-acre master-planned EastLake development in the eastern part of Chula Vista. The focal point of the business park is a seven-acre employee recreation facility, the largest in San Diego County according to Jeff Phair of EastLake Development Co.
