Work Begun on Aliso Plaza

Construction has begun on Aliso Viejo’s first major shopping center, Aliso Viejo Plaza, a project of Santa Anita Development Corp., Newport Beach.

Located at La Paz Road and Oso Parkway in southern Orange County, the new plaza will cover 16.8 acres, including 192,000 square feet of building space. Estimated cost of development is $10 million, to be completed in two phases by the third quarter of 1987.

Designed by the Nadel Partnership Inc., Santa Monica, the project will be built by Lyle Park Jr. Inc. of La Habra. Albertson’s Market and Target Department Store will be among the tenants.
