Israeli Women Sue Over Loveless Boat
Claims of a Mediterranean “Love Boat” cruise have landed its Israeli organizers in the dock after 15 women alleged in a suit that no eligible men were aboard, the Itim news agency reported Monday.
“The plaintiffs did not have a chance to meet a future mate, although it was promised they would,” the suit, filed in a Tel Aviv court, said.
It said advertisements had promised “eligible men aboard the Love Boat” but, once at sea, the women found dozens of families and no single men on the cruise ship City of Rhodes.
The 15 each demanded $50,000 compensation for their cruise tickets and what they said was mental anguish.
