The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan, accuses the company of unfair labor practices during its recent stalemated negotiations with its pilots over wage and benefit concessions. The suit charges that the carrier’s station manager in Anchorage, Alaska, telephoned pilots urging them to accept massive pay cuts. Lawrence Nagin, general counsel for Flying Tiger, said the company wasn’t aware of the facts of the suit but was “astonished by the frivolous nature of the lawsuit when the future of the company was at stake.”
