Satan Doesn’t Do Enough Business in Ark. for Suit: Lawyer
A lawyer has asked that Satan be dismissed as a defendant in a federal lawsuit here, contending that the devil doesn’t do enough business in Arkansas.
John Wesley Hall Jr., the devil’s advocate, made his motion in a lawsuit filed by Ralph Forbes of London, Ark.
Forbes filed suit Oct. 30, seeking to bar public schools from observing “the rites of Satan” on Halloween.
He filed on behalf of himself, Jesus Christ and children. The defendants were Satan, the school district and an education official.
Hall contended that there is no proof that Satan transacts business, owns property or committed any torts in Arkansas.
