PENNINGS
Someone named Sean Penn suggests that the Los Angeles Times cut out its advertising trailers at movie houses and replace the ads with pictures of Calendar’s staff (Calendar Letters, Nov. 16).
I think it would be a good idea, too, but only because some of them might have some individuality, a recognizable face, which none of the young actors, or actresses, have anymore.
O, for the good old days of real movie stars, those who endured because they had more to offer than surly expressions.
