500,000 Mexican Families Helped by Ruling Party

More than 500,000 needy families in Mexico City have benefited from a subsidized food program run by the governing Institutional Revolutionary Party, the government newspaper El Nacional said Friday. Jesus Salazar Toledano, Mexico City party president, said the party has distributed coupons for reduced priced on tortillas and milk.
