Too Old?

R. Adka (Letters, Nov. 12) suggests that Alan Cranston, at age 72, is too old to be reelected to the U.S. Senate, and blames the stupid people for not knowing better.

Someone must be nuts. Ronald Reagan is 75--shouldn’t we have a younger man at the helm of government and not one who says one thing one day and then a diametrically opposite one the next?
