Veteran Bojan Krizaj of Yugoslavia won the men’s slalom of the World Series of Skiing at Sestriere, Italy, edging Sweden’s Ingemar Stenmark by nine-hundredths of a second.

The 29-year-old Yugoslav, who trailed Stenmark by six-tenths of a second after the first run, had a total time of 1 minute 47.24 seconds.

The 30-year-old Swede finished second in 1:47.33, with Switzerland’s Joel Gaspoz third in 1:47.71.
