Four lost hikers were rescued this morning by a Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department helicopter after spending a freezing night huddled together in Angeles National Forest.
Deputy Bob Nimtz said Carol Brashears, 23; John Ball, 40; John Hollis, 28, and David Reiffen, 28, were in good condition and did not require medical treatment. Fifteen deputies and members of the Montrose Search and Rescue Team began looking for the hikers about midnight after the wife of one of the men reported them missing.
