SEC’s Job

It is ironic that the Securities and Exchange Commission was able to fine Ivan F. Boesky a whopping $100 million even though they are only allowed $117 million for an entire year’s budget.
Look what a job they could do if Congress would pass a law channeling such fines to the SEC to their enforcement arm to stop the murky and dangerous world of takeovers and junk bonds.
