Swimming remains the favorite sports activity in the nation, as it has for more than a quarter of a century, according to the Gallup Poll. The latest survey found that 43% of adults went swimming one or more times during the last 12 months. Bicycling (35%) and fishing (33%) were the next most popular activities, followed by running or jogging (28%).
