Japan Will Continue Trade Status With Seoul

TOKYO —
Japan announced Saturday that it will continue to extend “most favored nation” trading status to South Korea, despite earlier reports it was planning to withdraw the status.
Hidenao Nakagawa, parliamentary vice minister of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, made the pledge to visiting South Korean Trade and Industry Minister Rha Woong Bae, a ministry official said.
