The World : Thailand Expels Bo Gritz

James (Bo) Gritz, the former Green Beret who led a 1983 search for American prisoners of war in Laos, was deported from Thailand for the second time in less than a month, police and diplomatic sources said. Gritz, who has vowed to continue his search for Vietnam War MIAs, reportedly was refused entry to Thailand when he arrived at Bangkok airport on Nov. 15 but sneaked back through southern Thailand with a false passport a week later. Thai officials said they suspected Gritz was planning another foray into Laos that could hinder attempts by the United States and Thailand to improve ties with the Laotian government.
