Full-time city employees will receive $15 grocery gift certificates in lieu of the traditional city Christmas party or turkeys or hams. City employees were polled on their preference. Only four of the 49 responding said they wanted a party. Thirty-one employees said they preferred the gift certificate rather than a turkey or ham.
