These Orange County service organizations and churches are among those accepting food, toys or cash donations for the needy during the Christmas season:

- U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots. Toys can be delivered to the main gates of the Marine air stations in El Toro and in Tustin. Other delivery locations include all Bank of America branches in Orange County, all post offices in Santa Ana and all fire stations in Newport Beach, Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Fullerton, Laguna Beach, Orange and Anaheim. Deadline is Friday.

- Society of Orange County Emergency Physicians. Toys and clothing preferred for distribution at the Orangewood Home for Abused, Molested and Abandoned Children. Deliveries can be made to the Main Lobby of the Mission Community Hospital, 27700 Medical Center Road, Mission Viejo, or at Mission Viejo Mall.

- Pena Referral Center. 1928 S. Flower St., Santa Ana. Some of the toys along with canned goods and clothing will be distributed among poor children in Rosarito, Mexico. Donations can be made at dropoff points in Santa Ana at City Hall, the Fire Department, the City Yard and the old city hall downtown.
