Iraq said its warplanes bombed two offshore oil platforms in the Persian Gulf and a pumping station in an Iranian industrial complex before returning safely to base. Baghdad radio said Iraqi fighter-bombers hit oil-loading platforms in the Cyrus and Ardeshir oil fields, 45 miles west of Iran’s battered Kharg Island terminal in the northern gulf.
