Fishing Report : Weather Blamed for a Slow Week

Share

Overall, fishing was slow at Southland reservoirs this week, and landing operators blamed cold weather and a scarcity of fishermen.

There were, however, scattered reports of good catches, especially at Vail Lake, where Tom Breslin caught a 9-pound 3-ounce bass and Claire Bacon of Encinitas landed seven catfish weighing 57 pounds 9 ounces.

At the Salton Sea, a good sargo and tilapia bite is under way.
