WARSAW —
Poland’s Parliament approved legislation giving the government power to freeze wages as an emergency anti-inflation measure, the official news agency PAP reported Friday. A curb on wage increases is likely to be one of the austerity measures demanded by the International Monetary Fund as a condition for granting credits to Poland.
