‘The Anguish of Afghanistan’

I read with anguish your editorial “The Anguish of Afghanistan,” (Nov. 16).

Unfortunately, history and in this case, shameful history, repeats itself.

While 6 million Jews were being destroyed, the world did almost nothing about it. And now Afghanistan. Outside of Israel, no country so deserves the world’s help.

Against odds that are unbelievable, the courageous Afghans have stubbornly refused to say die.

The Jews say about the Holocaust, “It can’t happen again.” However, it is happening again--the only difference being it is happening to someone else--the Afghans.
