Raise Cain and Hell, Not Fat Cat Salaries

In your editorial “Boost For The Best,” you conclude that when pay scales become second-rate, so will personnel.

Do you mean that the present top-level employees in the executive, legislative and judiciary departments are second-rate? . . .

A survey to find out why people work for government with its low rate of pay compared to what they might get in the private sector would be very revealing.
