Pregnancy, Sex Education and TV

The Planned Parenthood advertisement in View (Dec. 8) was a perfect example of the misguided logic that pervades their organization and our country and allows the problem of teen sex to exist. I am not a prude; I found the illustration to be humorous and catchy, but I am hardly amused by their attempt to steer our country to doom.

Yes, teen sex is a problem. Yes, teens should not get preganant. Yes, there is an awful lot of sex on television. But Planned Parenthood is focusing on the wrong issue. . . .By the fact that they say, “If you’re going to do it, use this,” instead of “Don’t do it,” they perpetuate the very problem and the very ignorance they supposedly find so appalling.
