Nicaragua and the Contras

Thank you for your editorial (Dec. 17), “The Deepening Morass,” which brings to our attention a viable alternative to the contras--the efforts of the Contadora Group of Latin American countries that continue to try to negotiate peace and security in Central America. The Contadora process to resolve the conflict without war and violence is supported by many groups, nations and individuals. I hope everyone who reads your editorial will also support this process by asking their representatives in government to give it a chance to work.
