‘Blood’ Smeared on White House

WASHINGTON —
A 24-year-old anti-nuclear protester was arrested today after he entered the White House with a tour group and then splattered what other protesters claimed was human blood on the mansion’s front pillars, the Secret Service said.
A Secret Service spokesman said Philip Joseph of Washington was charged with malicious destruction of government property. The prank left large red splotches several feet up on two of four pillars on the White House north portico. President Reagan was in California at the time.
