Andreas Bauer of West Germany soared 98 and 102 meters and received 204.4 points to win the World Cup ski-jumping competition at Garmisch-Partenkirchen, West Germany.
Bauer finished ahead of Jukka Kalso of Finland, who had jumps of 96 and 105.5 meters and totaled 202 points. Third was East German Ulf Findeisen, with jumps of 98.5 and 100.5 meters for 201 points.
