President Reagan and the ‘Iran Deception’

Share

This reader is disappointed in the negative publicity The Times continues to give to President Reagan.

I was under the impression the President of the United States was responsible for our foreign policy. It is the wish of The Times that your editors take over this constitutional responsibility?

Your policy seems to be: “Continue to give the dog a bad name and then hang him.”

You have what you have and I have what I have because of an aggressive U.S. political foreign policy. I think the President is correct in his actions and I resent the back-biting of the media.
