Spaniard Puts Teeth in Eiffel Tower Model
The Eiffel Tower, France’s most famous monument, has been immortalized in a new form--a model built by a Spaniard using 884 cows’ teeth and six of his own.
Juan Merchan, 58, told reporters from his home in this northeastern town that he collected 3,000 cattle teeth from a friend who works in an slaughterhouse.
“It was very hard work,” he said of the tower. “It took me two years to collect the teeth and sort them out and 15 months to build it.”
The model, 44 inches high, sits on a base with pillars made from cows’ horns.
