“Chronicle, Volume Two.” Creedence Clearwater Revival. Fantasy (AAD). It’s easy to see why the first volume of “Chronicle” has been on the CD sales charts longer than any other repackage--it contains all 20 of Creedence’s hit singles. This second edition should also stir interest because it contains some additional gems from the great, late ‘60s/early ‘70s band (including “Born on the Bayou” and “Wrote a Song for Everyone”), but Fantasy must have a “Volume Three” in mind because some essential tracks (including “Cross-Tie Walker” and “Keep on Chooglin’ ”) were held back. Sound quality: fair.
