‘GOOD MORNING’ SEGMENT FOR CERNAN
NEW YORK —
Former astronaut Eugene Cernan, who once walked on the moon, is joining ABC’s “Good Morning America” as the on-air editor of “Breakthrough,” a new weekly segment dealing with health, science and medicine, the network said Wednesday.
Cernan’s first broadcast will be Jan. 26. He will appear on the program every Monday between 8 and 8:30 a.m.
Cernan, who commanded the Apollo 17 lunar mission, heads two space-related consulting firms in Houston, a spokeswoman said.
