Annual UCLA Real Estate Forecast to Be Presented

The annual UCLA Real Estate Forecast Conference will be held Monday at the Beverly Hilton, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Real estate decision makers and analysts will offer their predictions for the new year, discussing legal implications, markets, opportunities for small investors, joint-venture equities, syndication and finances.

Ray Bradbury, science fiction writer, will present the keynote address at a 12:30 p.m. luncheon, according to the conference chairman, Prof. Fred E. Case of the UCLA Graduate School of Management. Bradbury’s subject will be the potential for urban areas and how they will impact on real estate.

Other speakers and panelists include Jeffrey Tamkin, chairman, Retirement Inns of America; Marvin Starr, attorney; David Reed, president, California Federal Savings & Loan; Joseph O’Connor, president, Copley Real Estate Advisors; David McNulty, Balcor/American Express.

Also, Stuart Klabin, president, Klabin Co.; Larry Kimbell, professor, UCLA Graduate School of Management; Bruce Karatz, president, Kaufman & Broad; Perry Herst, president, Tishman West; Alan Casden, chairman, Casden Co. and Steven Barasch, architect. Steven H. Gold and Steven L. Soboroff are co-chairmen.
