Some Hot Winter Deals

If you’re heading east over the winter, there are a couple of hotel promotions in New York and Boston to consider.

The Manhattan East Suite Hotels, which includes nine properties, will give you a third night free if you book two nights. The three nights have to be consecutive and at the same hotel. As suites come with kitchens, the program might enable you to save on dine-out expenses.

This program, with rooms subject to availability, runs from Jan. 5-March 5. The third night should be set up at the time of booking. The nine hotels are Beekman Tower, Dumont Plaza, Eastgate Tower, Lyden Gardens, Lyden House, Plaza Fifty, Shelbourne Murray Hill, Southgate and Surrey Hotel.

Until the end of January, weekend visitors to the Greater Boston area can get two nights for the price of one at 27 hotels. The two-for-one offer has to be set up at the time of booking.

Among the participating hotels are Boston Marriott, Sheraton Mansfield, Sheraton Tara, Royal Sonesta, Lowell Hilton, Hilton at Colonial, Copley Plaza, Omni Parker House, Salem’s Hawthorne Inn and Westin Hotel.

TAP Air Portugal is offering a 50% companion fare on its flights from New York or Boston to Lisbon until May 31. Some holiday periods are excluded from this promotion. The half-off offer for the second ticket is available for all full-fare flights except first-class.

Both passengers must fly together on each of the east- and westbound flights.
