THE COLOR OF MONEY DEPT.: The good news is that “Go Johnny Go,” a hard-to-find 1958 rock film co-starring Chuck Berry and Alan Freed and featuring performances by Berry, Ritchie Valens, the Big Bopper, Eddie Cochran, Jackie Wilson and the Cadillacs, will be released in home video (and pay TV) later this year. The bad news is that the film’s distributor, Hal Roach Studios, is planning to colorize the musical numbers, citing the “enormous demand for high-quality color clips of these classic early rock performances.”
