Scrap Dealer Buys 2 Surplus Tanks as Gift for His Son, 11

LA CORUNA, Spain —
Eleven-year-old Julio Novo got two tanks for Christmas--real ones, weighing six tons each.
The boy’s father, a scrap car merchant, said he bought the surplus vehicles from another dealer who got them from the local marine base in this northwestern Spanish city.
“I like unusual things, and it seemed like a good present for my son,” said the father, also named Julio.
