Questionnaires Mailed for Times Building Survey

Share

Questionnaires for participation in the 16th annual Times real estate section survey of residential construction in Southern California are being mailed to more than 300 building and development firms throughout the Southland.

The one-page form seeks information on 1986 construction and sales and projections of construction and sales for this year from companies headquartered in Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, Kern and Ventura counties.

It seeks data on the number of housing units built last year, including apartments, condominiums, manufactured housing and mobile homes; total sales volume and the firm’s inventory at the end of its annual accounting period. The survey also asks for 1987 estimates of sales volume and the percentage of units planned for construction and the number of units planned with use of active solar systems.

Deadline for the return of all questionnaires is Feb. 13. Results of the survey will be published in mid-March, and each participating firm will receive reprints in booklet form.
