Lakers Will Face Malone, Bullets

Share

The Lakers will put the NBA’s best road record (10-7) on the line when they open a trip of five games in seven days against the Washington Bullets this afternoon at the Capital Centre.

The Lakers have lost to the Bullets in three of their last four meetings here, and that was before Washington acquired Moses Malone, the leader in the voting for Eastern Conference All-Star center.

Malone is averaging just under 26 points a game and is second in the league in rebounds with an averaging of more than 12 a game. What else has he done? Well, recently, he made 43 free throws without a miss.
