TEL AVIV —
An Arab movie house owner in the Israeli-occupied West Bank town of Tulkarem has agreed to stop showing sex films after the local council cut off the theater’s electricity and water supply, the Jerusalem Post reported Wednesday.
The erotic films, hired from a Tel Aviv distributor and advertised only by word of mouth, drew huge audiences from surrounding Arab towns, angering Muslim religious leaders who complained that young people were being corrupted.
