Bangladesh Civilians Must Stick to Mufti

DHAKA, Bangladesh —
The government, warning that a fashion for military-looking garb created “confusions,” banned civilians Friday from donning combat uniform used by the armed forces. The Defense Ministry order said that offenders would risk jail of up to five years.
It said the government was forced to impose the ban because of a “growing tendency among young men to wear dress which looks like combat uniforms.”
