The British government has launched an investigation at its top-secret intelligence headquarters in search of the “mole” who leaked information about the country’s first spy satellite project, the Foreign Office said. The announcement followed publication in the left-leaning magazine New Statesman revealing details of the project. The article said the $750-million satellite was being built to intercept radio signals and other communications from the Soviet Union and other countries.
