4 Spanish Policemen Suspended, Probe of Protest Ordered

Authorities said Saturday four policemen have been suspended and an investigation has been opened into their use of firearms against student demonstrators demanding education reforms.
At least 32 people were injured and nine youths arrested Friday in clashes between riot police and several hundred rock-throwing youths who disrupted a student march.
Police used water cannon, tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the youths and several fired their service pistols after being surrounded by protesters, reports said.
